At G&M Manufacturing our stamping processes are ideal for manufacturing bearings in multiple metals and finish options. The bearing housing highlighted here was designed for use in a rotating assembly in an automotive throttle position sensor. The housing bearing was manufactured from C260 brass with a thickness of .010″. Our 60 ton Bruderer straight side high speed press was utilized for stamping; this advanced high speed manufacturing capability allows us to achieve tolerances of ±.0005″. The finished part features overall dimensions of .6″ diameter and .32″ in height, with nickel plating. Quality was verified through both pin gage and drop indicator inspections.
