At G&M Manufacturing we provide precision stamping services for various industries, and a wide range of applications. This project is stamped for a customer in the automotive industry, and consists of a blade terminal which is a component of a power circuit for an interconnect header. At G&M we utilize state-of-the-art, high speed stamping systems, such as our 60 ton Bruderer straight side punch press which was used to manufacture this product. The overall part dimensions were 49 mm long and 22 mm in width, and required tolerances of ±.025 mm. The material used was C14415 high performance copper with an extra hard R420 temper and thickness of 1.2 mm. The material was finished with reflow tin over copper flash. OGP vision system testing was also conducted to ensure quality requirements. At G&M we manufacture 1,550,000 blade terminals annually for this customer. This project highlights our capabilities of multiple processes and finishing options. Contact us to learn more.
